Description
THE ROLE
The Installation Manager is the field general of Arete’s install operation. On any given day you may have two, three, or more crews running simultaneously across different job sites in DFW. You are the person who keeps all of it moving — on schedule, on standard, and on brand.

You report to the Project Manager and serve as the direct bridge between the shop and the field. You are the first call when something needs a solution on site and the last set of eyes before a client signs off. Problems do not escalate above you unless they truly require it. You handle them in the field, on the spot, the right way.
“The install is the last thing the client sees. It has to be right.”
WHAT YOU’LL OWN
• Oversee all active install crews simultaneously — scheduling, sequencing, site readiness, and daily progress across every job
• Be on the ground daily — rotating across active job sites, assessing quality, solving problems, and keeping crews moving
• Conduct pre-install site walks to verify readiness before any crew arrives — templating accuracy, utility clearances, access, and scheduling coordination with GC and trades
• Communicate directly and fluently with all install crew members in English and Spanish — direction, expectations, and corrections are clear to everyone on site
• Maintain Arete’s quality standard on every installation — alignment, scribe work, hardware, reveal consistency, and finish protection from delivery to punch list
• Manage punch lists — identify issues at final walk, assign corrections, and close every item before client sign-off
• Coordinate delivery of cabinets and millwork to job sites — sequenced with install schedule to eliminate delays and site clutter
• Be the first solution on any field problem — a missing part, a wall out of plumb, a last-minute design change. You solve it. You do not wait.
• Communicate field status to the Project Manager daily — completions, punch items, delays, and anything that affects the client timeline
• Build and maintain strong relationships with GC site supervisors and trades on every job
• Hold subcontracted crews accountable to Arete’s standards of workmanship, professionalism, and site conduct
WHO YOU ARE
You have run installs at a high level. You know what good cabinet installation looks like — and you know immediately when something is not right. Your eye for alignment, scribing, and finish quality is automatic.

You are fluent in English and Spanish. This is not a preference — it is a daily operational requirement. Your ability to communicate directly with every crew member in their language is what makes you effective in the field and what earns you their respect.

You are solution-oriented by nature. When a wall is out of plumb, you do not call the office — you assess, decide, and execute. When a crew is behind, you know why and you know what to fix. Problems end with you. That is not a burden to you. That is exactly how you operate.

You are calm under pressure. High-end residential clients, demanding GCs, and tight timelines are not stress — they are Tuesday. You represent Arete professionally in every environment you walk into.
WHAT WE REQUIRE
• Fluent in English and Spanish — reading, writing, and spoken. This is required, not a preference.
• 5+ years of cabinet and millwork installation experience in high-end residential or commercial environments
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple crews or multiple active job sites simultaneously
• Expert-level installation knowledge — face frame and frameless cabinets, architectural millwork, custom doors, scribing, hardware installation, and finish protection
• Strong working knowledge of construction sequencing and how cabinet install fits within the broader trade schedule
• Ability to read architectural drawings, shop drawings, and installation specs
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation — you are on the road daily
• Solution-first mentality — field problems are solved in the field. Every time.
• Professional representation of Arete in all client and GC interactions
STRONG PLUS
• Experience managing subcontracted install crews specifically — holding others to a standard you set
• Relationships with GCs and designers in the DFW market
• Experience with high-end custom millwork installs — paneling, built-ins, architectural details, custom stair work
• Familiarity with project management tools for field reporting and punch list tracking
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification
WHAT WE OFFER
• Competitive pay - on demonstrated experience — we pay for the person who earns it
• Full-time, permanent, in-house position — stability, ownership, and a real career path
• Direct partnership with the Project Manager and ownership — your voice shapes how we install
• A growing shop with a full pipeline — you will never be looking for work
• The chance to build and lead Arete’s install operation as we scale into Houston and Austin
• A team and a culture built on craft, accountability, and mutual respect
• Holiday pay after 90 days: New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas
OUR STANDARD
We run Arete by one principle: The Art of Enough. Every cut, every cabinet, every installation is exactly what it needs to be — and nothing less. The Installation Manager is the person who ensures that standard is held from the moment our work arrives on site to the moment the client signs off.

If you have spent your career holding that standard — and being frustrated by shops that didn’t — you will feel at home here.

no recruiters, no agencies:

• Your background — shops you have worked, volume of installs you have managed, crew sizes
