Description
Fine Point Cabinetry & Millwork is looking to add a full-time Cabinet Maker / Installer to our team in Rockaway, NJ.
We’re a growing custom cabinetry and millwork shop specializing in high-end residential work throughout Northern New Jersey. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to the details, and wants to be part of a small team where quality and craftsmanship actually matter.
Experience is important, but we’re not looking for someone who thinks they already know everything. Attitude, reliability, problem-solving ability, and a willingness to learn are just as important. We want someone who can take ownership of their work, work independently when needed, and also jump in wherever the team needs them.
This is a hands-on position that includes both shop fabrication and on-site installation. You should be comfortable working with woodworking machinery and hand tools, reading drawings, building and assembling cabinetry and millwork, and installing finished work in clients’ homes. You’ll be working on everything from kitchens and built-ins to closets, vanities, architectural millwork, and one-off custom pieces.
What we’re looking for:
- Cabinetry, millwork, or finish carpentry experience preferred
- Ability and willingness to install cabinetry on site
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable and able to show up ready to work
- Problem solver who can think through a job instead of constantly needing direction
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
- Willingness to learn new methods and improve
- Respect for the shop, tools, clients’ homes, and coworkers
- Someone who takes genuine pride in producing a great finished product
Compensation & Benefits: $30–$38/hour DOE, 1 week paid vacation + 1 week paid sick time to start, 8 paid holidays per year, health insurance available, and additional vacation after 3 years.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants stable full-time work, interesting high-end projects, and room to grow with a small company rather than simply being another employee in a large shop.
