Atlanta Sunbelt Products has manufactured in Winder, Georgia since 1985. We build restroom partitions for architects, contractors, and facility owners across the Southeast. Our lines include SUNLIGHT and NOVA quick-ship, SUNBURST plastic laminate, and ECLIPSE solid phenolic. Our Panel Laminating & Processing division laminates and fabricates HPL, melamine, plywood, phenolic, and solid-polymer panels for other manufacturers. We have served more than 10,000 customers, and our reputation rests on fast lead times, quick response, and products that last.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We’re looking for a hands-on General Manager to run our Winder plant, covering both partition manufacturing and contract panel laminating. You’ll report directly to ownership and have real authority over production, purchasing, scheduling, customer service, and people. Your job is to keep us fast, build our margins, and grow the business with our Sales Director. You’ll be at the center of a stable, growing manufacturer, with no corporate bureaucracy.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Lead all plant operations and deliver on-time, high-quality partitions and laminated panels.
• Own the budget and P&L results: margin, cost per panel, inventory, and cash.
• Build and coach a team of skilled production staff.
• Drive lean improvements in scheduling, material yield, setup, and throughput.
• Negotiate with suppliers and manage inventory of laminate, board, phenolic, HDPE, and hardware.
• Partner with Sales on pricing, big bids, and customer escalations.
• Set the standard for safety, housekeeping, and quality.
WHAT YOU BRING
• 5-8+ years of manufacturing leadership, including 3+ years running a plant or operation with P&L responsibility.
• Background in panel, wood, or composite manufacturing: casework, cabinetry, fixtures, furniture, laminates, or toilet partitions.
• A track record of improving on-time delivery, cost, and team performance.
• Comfort with financials, job costing, and an ERP or accounting system.
• Bonus: HPL, phenolic, or HDPE fabrication, CNC and panel-saw operations.
