Description
Rothman Millwork builds high-end custom cabinetry and millwork for residential and commercial clients out of our shop in North Philadelphia. We handle everything in-house, from design and engineering through building, finishing, and installation.
The Job:
You’ll split your time between the bench and the spray booth. Some days you’ll be building cabinets and hanging doors, other days spraying finishes. You’ll get to work on projects from start to finish.
What you’ll be doing
Building cabinets, drawers, doors, and millwork from our shop drawings
Milling lumber and working on a range of shop machines
Hanging doors and drawer fronts and installing hardware
Sanding, prepping, and spraying paint, primer, lacquer, and stain in our booth
Keeping spray equipment clean and in good working order
Masking, filling, caulking, and touch-up work
Problem-solving and thinking through the details on each project
Wrapping and delivering finished work and helping with installs around Philly and the suburbs
Unloading deliveries and keeping materials and hardware organized
Keeping the shop clean and tools in good shape
What you bring
[2+] years of experience in a cabinet, millwork, or finishing shop
Some spray finishing experience (HVLP, AAA, Airless)
Comfortable and safe using common shop machinery
Able to read shop drawings and work accurately
Organized and able to manage your own tasks
Able to be on your feet for a full day and lift up to 50 lbs
Driver’s license and reliable transportation
A Positive attitude and passion for learning and drive to improve your skillset.
Nice to have: Strong Color sense, artistic background, Mozaik, sketchup
