3PH 5HP Hauncher.
Excellent production machine for fast, precise and repeatable processes. Tooling moves through stationary material for safe precise workflow. I have another one of these machines with a tigerstop attached for the fastest most accurate half laps and tenons imaginable. I was planning to keep this one dedicated for end joinery such as Comb/Box joints with stacked cutters & spacers but have decided that two haunchers is excessive.
Haunching spindle moves vertically up & down through stationary work-piece. Haunching spindle controlled by foot pneumatic pedal, pneumatic material hold-down controlled by two buttons at front of machine. 1-1/4" Spindle, 4-3/4" under the nut. 7" diameter cutter allows for full adjustment of table in and out, can be used with up to a 9-3/4" diameter cutter but table must be fully retracted.
These heavy duty machines are used to make shaped cuts in the end or along the edge of a board or panel. Typical uses include box-joint, finger-joint or tenon cuts, half lap cuts, shaping the edges of square ballisters or dentil moulding, notching the edge of the panel, or shaping the end of the moulding such as a window aprons, etc.
