This is a 1950's era industrial high throughput thickness planer that has been completely rebuilt from the ground up. Several components have been professionally re-manufactured to original specs, or have been upgraded to heavier service standards.
This kind of machine is simply not available anymore.
240 VAC, 3 Phase, 3600 RPM, 7-1/2 HP direct drive cutter head motor, 3/4 HP separate drive train motor.
Four-wheel drive - all four rollers are powered for stock feed.
Segmented infeed roll and chip breaker - both rebuilt with new springs, spring caps, and graphite lubricant.
Two new, hardened 52100 steel bearing shafts heat treated at SW Metal Treating in Fort Worth and precision ground at Fort Worth Centerless grinding. Heat treating report included.
Fully repaired and insulated leads on the motor stator. Stator was fully checked at T-Gray Electric in Dallas; all tests passed. Results report included.
Upgraded threaded riser shafts from 1-1/4" to 1-3/8".
Improved Reeves Drive motor mount collar.
Rebuilt drive train motor with new bearings.
New U.S. made Timken cutter head bearings; new needle bearings where required.
Dynamically balanced cutter head and motor rotor assembly. This machine is super smooth and passes the "Nickel" test.
New cutter head knives.
Rebuilt power transfer shaft housing.
New transmission frame and speed adjustment linkage.
Rebuilt speed control knob
Two new drive train chains.
Everything fully stripped, degreased, de-rusted, primed, painted.
Custom start button console.
Table and table rollers have residual rust pitting that does not affect performance or surface finish.
Custom dust chute with 8" hose adapter.

Can be demonstrated under power.
*NOTE: This machine weighs 2300 pounds. I cannot help you load it. You will need to bring your own fork lift or hire a rigging company to move it for you.
