Nice work Gene. Just curious......is the butcher block top veneered by chance? Just wondering how you accounted for the wood movement, looks to me like the panel is encapsulated in a frame.
Thank you for your comments. As for your question, the butcher block top is not veneer, it is solid (aged) wood. As far as the panels, they are true floating, but our face frame and bottom support all the weight of the chest. We have been building these for years.
