I run a little sawmill and do some hack woodworking. I am an urban logger and don't like to see anything go to waste. I keep stuff laying around most guys would pitch, just in case I can figure out a use for it. I made a couple pieces that are sort of Nakashima style from my scrap pile. A busted honey locust and walnut table and an oak chair. It was either that or heat the woodshop with them, glad I didn't.

Hi
I have just seen your woodwork items on woodweb. This is my first time that I have seen this site and am enjoying seeing pieces of furntiure which are made by enthusiats like myself.
I have enjoyed viewing your items. they are of good designs and besides all, they are made of scrap wood. I myself like making furntiure of quality from scrap wood. I have just finsihed a towel cupboard for the bathroom made of scrap walnut and scrap alder.
Keep it up and good luck. If you would like to see some of my furntirure please dont hesitate to contact me and I will send some photos. By theway I live in Malta

that chair is friggin' sweet.
Thats a great chair idea. How is it holding up to use? I would like to make something like it but am worried about the strength.
I enjoyed viewing your projects. Your simple design, and use of those little "bow ties" gave that scrap wood a look of elegance. Thanks for sharing them.
