As a professional bar fly and furniture maker, I've got to say that your barstool would be much more comfortable without all those sharp arrisses and corners.

I think a rounded seat would be a better design feature, matching the legs and stretchers.

I absolutely agree, but this was the only photo I had at the time..I will post one that is "buttocks" friendly when I show the sequence of assembly.

I recently purchased a driftwood furniture book and have made a chair and am working on a loveseat. I am in Texas and have a lot of access to driftwood. I also have 65 acres of hickory and oak to work with.

Any suggestions or more furniture you have built. I may be able to send you the pictures of my chair if I can figure it out.
