thats a very interesting looking table. i like the combination of a traditional style table with tapered legs and an apron combined with a contemporary themed floating top. did you find the wood already spalted or did you do it your self? if so, how? nice work.
I made something like this of black alder at school. Had to make a veneered top though, because i could't find enough spalted wood for it.
Shame i forgot to take pictures of it.

Hi, thanks you for your comments. I found the wood already spalted. I had it nearly two years waiting for the right project. The finish is mineral spirits/tung oil/poly mix. I applied a paste wax over that.
