just beautiful,
how did you do the carvings?
Udo, these are simple applications you can buy at lumber companies, some are made from plastic to look like wood and others are made from wood. Mail order houses sell em too.
All these carvings are solid Maple. They were purchased at Enkeboll.
Enkenboll is Ok but pricy compared to what you get. Other companies at half the price will give you the exact same thing but in Cherry or Oak or Mahogany or Alder.
Enkeboll sorta started this concept of slap on foo-foo but other companies have really taken it to the extreme with all the different woods they offer.
Ive delt with many companies in my 35 years in the trade and I find Enkenboll to be overpriced but just as good a quality as the ones that MacMurray handles or even Van Dykes and EB Bradley
Gary,
Nice job of "Slapping foo foo together.
Bob,
Those are Enkeboll machine carved moldings, they are not anything like a plastic onlay offered at the hobby houses. Enkeboll stocks many hardwoods such as Alder, white oak, red oak, cherry, walnut, mahogany and maple. Yes it is pricey but is some of the best machine carved work available.
