Interior door casing made of maple and oak
Project was laid out on floor of shop and looked fine but in retrospect corbel is too large so lesson learned is to do layout vertical.
Casing block made from leftover oak from previous stairway build. Maple burl veneer stained too dark with clear polyurethane (lesson learned)
Keystone made from maple and burl veneer
MDF doorway casing pediment with columns
The columns were halved at millworks poorly (irregular back edges) so had to clamp them to board and apply Bondo to back edges to fit flat to wall. Lesson learned so since I halve columns on bandsaw myself and then run them over jointer.
Tricky part is faux illusion of projecting base from within baseboard
