A protype chair I designed and built out of cherry and curly maple. The legs are joined together with half laps, the seat sits in a dado and the back slats join the legs together with a mortises. The legs where roughed out on the bandsaw, smoothing was done all by hand with spokeshaves, files, and sandpaper. The seat was bowled out all by hand as well as the back slates. I hand rubbed 12 coates of an oil finish toped with a furniture wax. This is my first attept at chair making any advice would be appreciated.
