Rift Sawn White Oak Coffered Barrel Vault Ceiling
Posted By: | kol |
Joseph, great work. Did you do all of it or just the ceiling? Did you use flex moulding or is it all solid oak? If you don't mind me asking what was the price tag for that job?
Posted By: | Joseph |
I did it all and it's all solid oak. Came out to roughly $70,000 ($72,000 installed). Thanks for the compliment.

Joseph,
Beeyootifull! I just have one question. I can't tell if the individual components are all curved or straight. If they are curved what kind of molder did you use?
Posted By: | Joseph |
Reilly:
Everything is curved, including the matched panels. They were done with a tilting spindle shaper.

Joseph,
I don't think you did the curved veneered panels on the shaper did you? Were they vacuum bagged or did you make a press?
Posted By: | Joseph |
Yes, they were vacuum bagged.

Joseph,
This ceiling is truly spectacular.
I visited your website and all of your work is just as great. I love to see that there are still craftsmen left on this planet. Keep it up.

Thanks Marc!
You can see some more of our work on our website. The pictures are mostly non-professional, but you can at least get the jist of it. Would love to see how your ceiling turns out! Thanks again.
