Interior mahogany shutters for customers bedroom and bathroom area. We only provided and installed the shutters, other woodwork was done by a millwork company. The shutter parts were made in our shop from rough lumber. Both the millwork and the shutters were expected to match a existing piece of antique furniture that was the homeowners. The millwork is actually lyptus. Since the millwork was matched prior to our receiving the order, we had to match the lyptus samples. We actually used a dye on the wood, then applied a gelcoat stain to get the desired color. Topcoat is minwax waterbased polyurethane.
