Recently I requested some finishing information for a bench I have been working on with my Girlfriend. Well we've finished up the bench, now we just need to either let it be or figure out what finish to put on it. The back rest was carved by me and the front legs were carved by her. We each carved an arm rest. I realize we could have spent more time getting the joints tighter, as well as some other things. I seemed to be in a hurry on the process.
As always I welcome constructive criticism, positive or negative.

Wow, I like it, love the carvings. Was that done by hand or cnc?
I’m guessing by hand. How is it with two people sitting on it? Does it shake?
All the detail is great, I just wonder about the size and thickness of the stock?
Great job!!
Thanks Jim! The bench is plenty stable. I added mid supports under the slats (2) and it doesn't even come close to flexing with 2 people and kids at the same time. The back support flexes somewhat when leaned on, but there is more then enough strength to support that weight, as it isn't like putting the full amount of body weight. It is carved by hand. Thanks for the comments.
You always amaze me bro. Once again another fine woodworking piece. Keep up the good work.
this is the most beautiful carving ever - congrats on your skills!!! By the way I am using fresh planed pine on a wall and the pine smells like vomit so I cant have it up in my house?? how can I get rid of that smell so I can finally put it up in the house?? Karen
