This table was inspired by an email with optical illusions. It was a custom order for a inspiring Victorian home in downtown Rochester, NY.
The 1482 is the amount of individual pieces of wood. It is made out of figure hardwood and ebony. It took 25 hours to complete and the finish is conversion varnish.

looks like the table really matches the room.
Very cool. I think the inside of the drawer should have had 3 lines of the light and dark. Everything else looks good. Thanks for sharing
It's nice to see some "out of the box" design and execution occasionally. Especially on the homeowners part. Thumbs up!
Thank you guys for your comments.
Kol, yes buddy you are right, it should've had three rows of the strips in the drawer bottom and that is the way I thought but I must have had a brain lapse or something (maybe I was hypnotize by admiring the top too long) at the time and when I woke up to reality it was too late. Since it is not very visible and the table is a bit on the crazy side, I left it alone.
25 hours? Is your name David Copperfield by chance? Nice work as always Jose! Keep on Keepin' on
Jeff, David Copperfield? I asked my wife who he was and when she told me I got a good laugh.
I'm a fast worker, I have always been in any job that I had or working for myself.
Once I envision the project in my mind, the hands get to work as fast as I can, I don't do to many drawings, only some chicken scratch that is hard to understand to anybody but in my mind I can see exaclly the final product and I race in excitment to see it finished. I love my job.
