This is part of my River Series (tm) of designs incorporating inlaid, dyed resins. The woods in this project are cherry, lacewood, pine. 36 x 28 x 163"
Scott, Although the three projects you have posted may not be everyone's "cup of tea", they certainly show a high level of craftsmanship. I also believe your work is very marketable. Keep up the good work and keep posting.
Thanks, Kim. I appreciate the compliment. I use a wide variety of resins for different characteristics and different results. All are in a class of "catalyzed resins" that you would know as epoxy, although they can be vastly different chemically. I have tested and made mistakes for a long time now and have many of the problems worked out, but not all. The resin, like epoxy, acts as glue and structural component. The resins I use vary from $50 to $150 per gallon, then there's specialty dyes to add for color, dye incompatibility, woods that work and don't, and working under heat and vacuum...lots of details.
