This client had a limited amount of space for an eating nook/island. Includes black walnut legs, mahogany corbels, and lower shelf and side panels with walnut beads underneath each side panel. Clear pre-cat satin lacquer finish 5/8" mahogany drawer box and walnut face with wood knob the client found. A 3CM granite top will overhang the corbels with a slight radius on that end.

Beautiful island piece! simple and clean. Very nice work. Very interesting choice of woods, the contrast between them seems to clash. wouldn't maple perhaps a birdseye. have been a better choice for a contrast piece?
I can't say I disagree and these types of pieces are not everyones thing .The client had a magazine picture of a similar but painted bead boards side panels but slatted shelf .She said I want it to look more like a piece of furniture with a wood finish not paint I showed her Black Walnut with QSWO she liked it and the day she came in for some detail she saw the Media cabinet with the Mahogany and went ape right in my shop , she got excited it was fun , so what I'm telling you the lady that signed the front of the check got what she wanted .Also the trust of a long time client weighs in here.
Thanks for the kind words and for looking .
