This is a bookshelf unit built for my sister for her new home. The tree was savaged from her old house. I did the entire project from log to finished piece. I used amber shelac for a seal coat and satin polly for a topcoat. All comments welcome I would really like to know what others think about it.

I think your doors turned out great. The whole project is beautiful. I like the way you stepped it to break it up. Well done.

in the long sections aren't you concerned about warping of the shelves? they look like 3/4 thick and at least 3-4 feet long, have you supported them from below?

Beautiful doors. Can't tell from the photos...are they beaded or are the rails and stiles a series of raised profiles without beading? How were the profils made?

For the doors I made a raised panel and a molded frame around the panel.
