Chairs look good.
Let me tell you a lesson I learned the hard way. One winter when my shop was slow I had my guys build some outdoor rocking chairs out of poplar. My in-laws got a set as well as my parents. We painted them with a high quality porch paint. Fairly quickly, 2 yrs, they started to rot and fall apart. Come to find out poplar is one of the worst woods to use in the elements. Lesson learned.
I made those chairs for inside at the lake, I also made some out of ceder for outside.
Nice chairs, do you have a plan to build?
Do you have a covered patio?
They will work on that just fine.
I have jigs that I made. Every piece has a different angle it is kind of tricky to put together and keep every thing level when you set in it. They are really comfortable and are easy to get out of them.
