Plywood Occasional Chair

Did you find any part of the chair to be less sturdy due to the oriented stranding in the ply? Maybe the redundant lamination and joints took care of that? Cool piece, the spacer variation adds a lot of character.

The back legs do not extend back far enough - that chair looks prone to tipping over backwards.

Actually, the chair is extremely sturdy and it is nearly impossible to rock backward on the legs. I have, however, walked into it in the middle of the night and knocked it over sideways.
The curvature of the back and seat was traced to my body to provide lumbar support. I tried several positions and angles for the rear legs and eventually decided on this one. For the next go-around, I'll probably bring them forward at the seat and flare them back further for aesthetic reasons.

Obvious to me at least John, there is no joinery... it's laminating! Good effort Chris. Could be a future in it. Check out Phillip Starks chairs for out of the box ideas.
