Company Name: Doebler Custom WoodworksEntertainment center built around a 48" TV on stand. Bookshelves on the front, with more shelves on each side. Made of Eastern White Pine and white pine ply. I made it in 5 pieces (2 bases, 2 tops and 1 connecting cabinet) in order to transport it to NY from NC.

Geoff, nice looking unit. Are the shelves adjustable? The only thing I would have done different is I would have put a back on the area where the equipment is. Having the wall color and those cables visible draws the eye to that area, instead of the TV being the focal point.

Thanks Desertdave,
Yes the shelves are adjustable all around the piece. There are also ones behind the doors on the lower units. There is a 1/4" back on the middle cabinet, but in order to get the audio/video equipement in there I had to make those cutouts which was a bummer. At least it makes for good ventilation!

Hey that entertainment center looks very sharp. I have never been a fan of white pine but this is nice. Did you make the doors yourself?? Is the panel raised in the doors?? looks like they are and if so what process did you use to make the doors... lap joint the frames of the door?

On closer examination of the 3rd picture posted I don't think the doors are raised... still looks very sharp

Thanks Shaun,
I was lucky to get some good white pine with tight knots (both the lumber and the veneer ply). The house is a log home and they have a lot of pine beams and flooring in it so I think it'll make a good match once it's finished by the homeowner.
The doors are 1/2" think flat panel set in a 1/4" groove in the frame. For the frame joints I just cust tenons to fit in the grooves. I think they were around 1/2" deep. The end panels on the base cabinets are pocket screwed frames with a groove for the flat 1/4" panel.
