I harvested and shipped all the material to Central Park, NYC myself. They have their own full time crew to work maintaining and constructing these natural artistic wood formations. These primative and simple structures are actually somewhat complicated in assembly and design. They are made of my Black Locust and Eastern Red Cedar natural bark on pole wood. Both of these woods are very rot resistant, the black locust being on the extreme end of the spectrum and very hard to get.
As with all my lumber it's locally harvested, and is a much better choice than other rot resistant woods like pressure treated, and rain forest species.
