It started when I needed a playform for my new matress. I did want the plastic thing they sold. So about a year later I finished this.
Sapodilla slabs from a tree knocked down during hurricane Wilma with orchard walnut posts. Each slab has four tenons with allowances for expansion and contraction. Threaded inserts, setscrews, and steel angle epoxied into tenon provide squeezed tight assembly and breakdown capability. The screws are concealed in back.
