Nice Work Marvin
How much do you sell then for?
Posted By: | marvin bishop |
I sell the rockers for 235.00 - the benches go for 400.00. A set of 2 adirondack chairs with a 20"x20" table sells for 350.00. I have sold about 3 dozen sets of chairs, 6 benches, and 2 rockers so far. Trying to get a small business going. Thanks for your kind words.

nice work marvin. you could definately sell those items for a good deal more than what you're charging.do a google search on similar items and check out prices on some of the garbage that is being sold as "high quality." one teak adirondack chair goes for about $400.(mass produced)

Thanks for the kind words - I have just started my business - hard to price things.
Yes, I see all the stuff on the web, and some of them are really nice, but the wood species is a little suspect sometimes. I have a deal with a friend who uses IPE in his boat dock building co., and I get all his scraps - and build stuff for him to sell to his customers. Wanted to branch out on my own. I leave the selling and all to my lovely wife - I hate the selling part.
I am trying to market to the local pool and garden companies, and also to the lake crowd, and the upscale neighborhoods.
I think if people get a close hand look at my stuff, they will be impressed at the wood, and the workmanship, and for soem people, price is a 2nd tier element.
I will post a photo of the adirondack chair.
Thanks to all for your nice words and support.
