These are some pictures of a piece we made recently. It's all solid oak with exception of the mirror backing. The cupboard part of the bureau has two adjustable shelves inside.

This was the first bureau I made and felt it came out quite nice. The stain was medium oak with a A/C 20% sheen topcoat.

Absolutely first rate work. Good to see all wood furniture and not mostly plywood.
I know people move so often, but it would have been nice if those pieces could have been done as built-in work and not have to fight with the crown and base moldings and that heater panel.

Like a lot of my work I didn't go to see the customer and was unaware of the radiator or the lower than normal ceiling. The customer just gave me some measurements, a spec, and color and I worked to them and the details were left up to me. The bureau only just fitted cos the height of the ceiling downstairs was lower than upstairs (where the customer took the measurement).
