MIGHTY sharp looking cabinet!
What was your methodology for milling the sinuous horizontal moldings for the inset panels of the doors and drawers - making sure that they fit the profile when you were done?

The inside moulding on this cabinet was definetally one of the hardest parts. I had to make a template for the doors and sandwich two layers of 1/4" bending ply between mahogany veneer. I did all of this in a vacuum bag. To make the stiles and rails I glued several 2 mm layers of solid mahogany on the panel. For the sinuous mouldings on the inside of the panel I basically had to draw the shape onto a piece of mahagony and cut it out on a bandsaw. I put the shape on the trim before i cut it off. After that I perfected the fit by using an edge sander. It was pretty tedious, but the process flowed after I did the first one. Cut and fit cut and fit!

is this the same 21 year old? Man you got some talent for being so young. I'm thinking that you'll be a master at a young age at this pace. What in the world are you doing going to business school when you can build that that? Nice piece great work. Look forward to seeing what else you've done

The stain is 7 parts red mahogany/ 1 part dark mahogany (?). I think i used old masters stain. After that we painted the panels with a black lacquer and put 3 coats of clear lacquer (2 coats sealer, 1 coat top coat). I used Sherwin Williams lacquer.
