Nice dresser, it looks great. But you really shouldn't rim miter the top like that. Those miter joints are going to pop open eventually, you can only effectively do that with a plywood/veneered mdf substrate.
Not to worry. I placed the rim miter with special glue and bicuits, and also inserted dowels into the mitres. This will actually overcome the expansion and contraction forces of the top against the grain and hault it. I put some sophisticated engineering/4rth order polynomials to the test and discovered that the movement force of the top to be less than the holding strength of the glue/biscuit and dowel combination. We are not going anywhere!
