I have a client that buys keepsake boxes off of me, and she said she wanted something unique this time. This was the perfect opportunity to try something that I've been seeing alot of lately. The box it's self is red oak, it's 10 1/2 by 7 3/4 with mittered sides. The lid is the part I was most interested in doing. It is end grain I was very excited to try this I really like how it turned out. The lid is made of red oak, walnut, and curly maple. As much as I like how the box as a whole turned out I do feel as if the box part is missing something..... let me know what you think.
