I agree, I like to add a little cherry stain but not too much to tone it out to that real craftsman look to go with the hardware style but the oak usually looks fine the way it is. Either way it's a nice looking piece, good job!

The only thing I would do to this is a flat clear finish. I realy like the clean look of it.
