The table in closed position (7'x 48"). The top is 1" with quarter-sawn figured ribbon african mahogany veneer on top and the underside - with a 2" solid peruvian walnut border which has a 1.5" crotch mahogany inlay, leaving a 1/4" reveal of the walnut on either side. The leaf (seen in the background) is 36". Heavy and not for the feint of heart - but the client preferred it over the multiple seams of 12" or 18" leaves... All critique and comments welcome!
