Very nice. It's inviting, comfort food for the eyes.
Very nice. Nice use of recycled materials.
GREAT table and awesome wood. We can't get that stuff on the east coast. Great work from one JD to another!!! JD
Thanks. The redwood was pretty sweet. I re-sawed three 6"x10"x10' timbers for the stock. I'm in Humboldt County and I still have to pay $10bf for it. I would do this table again in a more structural and less tender wood.
Beautiful Table. Where could I get the plans for the table to build this? Thanks.
These are the original drawings. I just drew up a design for a starting point and they liked it. All of the dimensions were their request. Its kind of tall at 36", but the seat height for the chairs I am making is 24", both of which is the same dimensions as their previous dining set.
Thanks for posting the drawing. Very helpful. I will likely keep the height around 30".
Nice looking table! Is that all 1/2 lap joinery for the upper structure?
Thanks. Yeah, it is all half lap. Top is pretty heavy, and the structure holds it well. It can also knock down to get through a door way in a move. Two end frame units joined by the four rails half lapped.
Very nice. A quality piece of work and design.
