Company Name: gehlsen architectural woodworksThis was originally supposed to be a restoration and repair project. These are the kind of projects I despise. The original trifold mirror seemed to come from Germay in the early 1900's. The frames were shattered and the carvings were in piece. Parts were missing. I refused to do a repair of the mirrors as I know they are always much more work than they were worth. My proposal was to salvage all the original gilded carving and mouldings. I would build new frames in mahogany, then install the original details and carve the parts that were missing.
They are very difficult to photograph, but I was quite happy with the results. They are shown seperated.
