A stained pine center table.
A communion set for a church. The plate is mahogany and the cup is a Mexican tropical hardwood called Jabín. I wet sanded and polished.
I turned this lamp and gave it to my sister as a gift. The wood is Eucalyptus and the inlay is Katalox, if I remember correctly. The base is Katalox. My mistake in this was using Titebond hide glue for the inlay and now you can really feel the glue lines.
Old growth pine table. The customer asked for it without a finish. Some of the table top was made from trees that I was told were about six feet in diameter.
This is an offering box I made for my church. The wood is curly Spanish cedar with an overlay of Ziricote and an inlay of Granadillo. The dovetails were cut by hand.
Inside the box.
This is my finest piece so far. I re-sawed the mahogany for this from one big slab. I really like this piece.
This is a closet I made with pine ply and Spanish cedar.
I had to re-do some work on it because I didn't take into consideration that sliding doors leave a blind spot in the middle.
It turned out quite nice.
I made these desk chairs for a music teacher. Quality pine with a Katalox inlay. They were my first chairs and taught me to respect chairmakers. I've since made him two more.
I made this cabinet for a customer who is in the tomato business. I used water based lacquer in solid colors then finished the lacquer with polyurethane.
I made six doors, five of which were similar to these.
The inside.
Some of the glue joints in the panels are opening now about a year afterward. Next time I'll use splines in the panels.
