Is that wood facia immediately surrounding the firebox? Can't say I've ever seen that meet firecodes. Usually there is a minimal of 3-4 inches or more to a combustible material. Hence the usual brick, tile, mortar, granite, marble, etc. between the firebox and any wood surround.
It is a electric fire box that requires zero clearance. lol
same as what you would buy at a department store,they always have wood (saw dust)around the insert .all the heat blows out the front and nothing gets hot around it.
Sorry, my bad! I see now on another of your posts that it is indeed an electric fireplace.. Whew! Had me worried that you might have had to tear it apart. Okay - shoulda known you were on top of this!
