I'd buy one! Truly amazing, just like all your other posts.
Do you supply your work to other shops? Say, if we had a client that wanted a table top done?

Gregg, gourgeous work. I have to ask, did you do these with a Fret saw, Scroll saw or Laser? I would assume you know Patrick Edwards. Do you use hot hide glue, urea resin or yellow glue? I've admired your other pieces you've posted as well as these.
I remember in a old issue of FFW mag I saw some beautiful marquetry done by a russian artist with nothing more than a knife. Really great work.

I use unibond 800, and now I am almost entirely laser. I have retired fret saw, but still use my exacto, chisel and veneer saw. I know of Patrick, but do not know him. He was asking $350,000 for 2 hand done (fret saw) tables on his web site that could be done for far less than than $35,000 on laser ( a repetitive scroll pattern, perfect for laser, one design 24 times). I just don't see customers paying 10 times more for hand cut stuff. That is the problem with marquetry. I have a high end furniture store nearby (Richard Honquest) that carried some pretty good quality marquetry tables made in mexico. They are discountinuing them at a reduced price of around 5k. No buyers, even in an area where homes are 1.5m +. I am trying to find flexible, component style designs that offer a "mass customization" concept at a resonable price. Right now I would need $800 for grape vines top to make it worth my while, and most people I ask would pay $250 for a custom top. The custom marquetry market (like Anita marquetry) is still for $20 million yahts and jets. The rest of the world buys from Ashley furniture which offers great value pricing.

Gregg,
I would like to think a market for something specialized, Wine Tasting tables would be viable. I know of a local person who spent lots of money on their wine cellar. What's a few thousand more for some unique and customized tables.

Earl, I agree, but we will see. Update on Patrick Carpenter, I misspoke. He is asking 125k , not 325.
