I like to scour antique shops as is, but my main excuse is to look for interesting vintage boxes, the more character the better.
This tiny little brass trimmed box was too small to build much awesomeness inside, so I build an elaborate locking system "around" the smaller chest. If you recall the song "One Tin Soldier" you will already have a clue as to whats inside the chest.
It takes 37 moves to solve this puzzle box. All of the wood used to make this unique conundrum were found in my off cut bins in the shop. This is the first time I expored in not having a solid bottom, but rather keep it open to view and solve several key sections in order to finally have access that allows the frame to be removed from around the chest.
Like any puzzle box, I started whith what I knew and kept focused on what I was going to do next. It turned out pretty cool, maybe even a little artistic.
Anyway, loads of fun!
Cheers!
