My client and I picked out a Bubinga slab that was 65" wide, 10' long and 2" thick. It had a long check in it that was about 17" from one edge. He requested that I continue the check by splitting it with a wedge. We used that section of the slab for the eatery countertop and another 6" for the riser backsplash.

Well done! It really pops in that kitchen. We did a few of these tops for a home and found the wood to be very hard and very heavy!! What was your choice of finish for th top.

I'm curious about which wet sealer you used? I'm about to do some trim for a bathroom and use the West System 105 resin and wondered if you used something similar? (Also, the blue cabinets on the bottom look great!) Nice work!

To fill the knot holes I used West System Resin 105 and hardener 207. For the sealer I used Polarion Isolante for the 1st coat to keep the oily wood from affecting the finish and then just used many coats of Polarion sealer and ground that down to get everything flat so no grain telepathed through and then the Polarion 2K topcoat.
