Very nice table, Dayton! What did you use for a finish?

thank you Sir
finish is wiping varnish.
aprox 1/3 Linseed oil 1/3 high gloss Poly and 1/3 mineral spirits. the top is sanded down to about 800grit

Nice piece of work. I assume that the wood is American Walnut.
Comment: While you've braced the table top nicely and used good reinforcement technique at the joints, I'd be concerned about the extreme stress at the base of the longer support arm should some yahoo sit on the long end of the table.

Yeah, I’m sure if I stood on the end of it it would break, I figured that from the get go, but it still might take a hop or two. It is actually much stronger and more sturdy than I figured it would be. I can easily set in the middle area of the table with no problem. We'll see how it holds up in the future. If it breaks I can always build another or just replace it with a plain Jane rectangular square leg table from the local furniture store.
