VERY NICE! What did you use for the finish?
Create piece. I like the glass cabinet over the top. I would of maybe done the same on the side cases. Still very nice.
Where did you get the crown molding or did you make it.
Very nice. My personal taste would include a decorative drop edge on the adjustable shelves and build the shelves to where they have a recessed square in the middle as to accommodate a glass insert. This will allow the light in the top to shine all the way down through the cabinet.Everything I just said is not really necessary but does add awesome detail. I like the beaded inset, too. This cabinet looks very good and I would guess that this unit would be in the neighborhood of $4500 to $6000 (fully finished with a clear coat )for the Dallas upscale clientele.
Thanks for all of your inputs. I mixed my own gell stain for the undertones then sealed it with dewaxed shellac before applying the glaze finished by 2 coats of satin poly. I also made the crown molding. I really like the idea of the glass adjustable shelves, but there are no lights inside of the cabinet to shine through. I tried to sell the customer on some lights but they did not bite. The full price of the cabinet was $7300 including installation. Thanks again.
