We recently built a large order of wood blinds using White Oak rails and slats. The customer requested a special finish using hand rubbed Ciranova Magic Oil stain, and a clear coat of Fortico 2C Varnish. Also hand rubbed. The cords and tapes were coordinated with the stain color and they seem to make a nice combination. The extremely wide blinds use a compound cord lift to lift the slats at four points, and the multiple rollers aid the homeowner when lifting the heavy weight.
