I was 19 when I made this piece. It is an entertainment center that I made out of cherry stained dark with a medium rub pre cat lacquer. The center where the speaker fabric is pops off and so does the sides so the T.V. will come out. I made all the doors, dovetailed drawers, raised panels, the columns, and staind and finished it all myself. The bar has bar rail and a solid 3/4 thick top with glass on it so they could put baseball cards in it. I mad the stud wall for the top and then built the raised panels all in one and cut the holes out for lights. It took 5 guys to set the top up and screw it to the stud wall. Please tell me what you think.

Your craftsmanship is impressive. I really like the raise panel soffit. It gives the cabinetry "the bar look", also I like how you dealt with the fridge. Did you consider putting in columns at the front corners of the bar under the rp soffit to appear to hold it up? mike
Looks great. You must be from Kansas too. The only thing I would do differently is exchange that jayhawk etching for one with a K-State power cat. Just kidding, good work.
Great work!! Very impressive.
How did you attach the box beam/soffit to the ceiling above the bar? Did you add some framing?
Yes I made a frame and attached it to the cieling then made the RP top and 1/8 bigger all the way around and screwed it to it where the crown would cover it. Thenks for the comments.
