I built the mill to saw wood strictly for myself because the lumber that's available from the traditional mills, lumber yards and big chain stores just wasn't what I wanted for my personal use. I like finding and using the unusual, the knotty stuff with the wild grain patterns or slabs with natural edges and boards with beautiful sapwood streaks and contrasting colors. Other woodworkers that have seen my work were always asking where I find my wood, so I decided to start making limited amounts of my unusual pieces available to others. |
