We've been using Office Depot labels matching Avery 5366 / 3M 3300-F for parts, putting the labels on the faces of the parts. The shop wants to put them on the edges so they are buried, not so much peeling off. But it needs to be a higher tack in order to stick to the edges.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a high-tack label in the Avery 5366 layout?
I would appreciate any help you can give us.
Thank you,
Eric

Have you thought about etching your labels directly into the part during CNC processing via the cabinet software you use? We are implementing this now into Cabinet Pro CNC and I think it might be a more efficient way of labeling parts. There sure wouldn't be any fear of the label falling off during processing. :)

Avery Industrial will make to order, I think its either 10M or 50M label minimum.

We went through this ten years ago. Going from face labels to edge labels and had trouble finding labels with sufficient adhesion. We found them at Multi Graphic Marketing Inc. Ph: 717 625-1255. The label we get from them is: Z500TT450. This is a 5/8" x 4" label and it will stay on the edge of particle board, mdf, etc. without curling up and falling off. Hope this helps.

We have produced labels for several customers who were looking for either higher tack or cleaner peel. If you contact me I would be glad to help you find the right adhesion level for your sized label.
