Biesse EKO And Lazy Susan Cabinet Parts?

04/09/2014

From original questioner:

We are considering a new EKO 902 machining center and are wondering how we would run our lazy susan parts where a piece has to fall off. Has anyone done this using toy tabs or onion skin techiniques? We would be sending the programming from Cabinet Vision and S2M

We have an Eko and get around this by manualy positioning the clamps. First make cut up from bottom to corner then move clamp to hold over cut then cut from side to finish cut. Then unload, be carfull on unload as when the clamp opens the cutoff and part might drop.

We have had our Eko for just over a year. It takes some time to get used to the difference from a table/pod and rail machines.

Feel free to contact me with any questions.

The new Evolution vertical machining center from Holz-Her uses vacuum pods to hold the part, allowing for full 4 side machining in a single set up.

It may also be possible to hold the off all with the pods
