Dowel/spacer For Display Doors

05/24/2016

From original questioner:

Somewhere a long while ago I saw a dowel with some sort of shoulder or spacer that was used to join a door and drawer front together in a display scenario. (full front samples)

No idea what it would even be called, so thought I would throw it out to you guys. Any ideas?

I think you're looking for these, they're just shelf pins.

Hafele... used to sell barbed 4.5 x 70mm dowels (039.47.911) and 3mm plastic spacers for that purpose. They didn't make for a very rigid assembly. Something like 8 x 50mm dowels might work better.

Dave, that's exactly what I remember....

I figured I could create the same with a dowel and washer combo, but was hoping for an easier way out.

Thanks for the time guy's
