What kind of adhesive is suited for edge to edge gluing of Jatoba , if I am not mistaken it has a fair bit of natural oils that could a problem or not if I use PVA adhesive.

Jatoba is not as oily as some other tropical woods like teak. We use Titebond 1 and 2 successfully with no special surface prep other than starting with parts that fit together well. For edge glued panels, that means making sure that there are no end gaps, because they will only get worse and crack open later. Don't skimp on clamp time - leave then in as long as possible.
