I build cabinets 2 years ago.
I installed the base cabinets, and delivered the wall cabinets.
The wall cabinets can not be installed
till ,a few things are done.
1. The granite tops installed.
Some cabinets sit on top the granite.
2. The venting for the hood liner has not
been installed.
The wall cabinets will cover the space
for the ductwork. When installed.
The customer Want their money back.
Does anyone have any experience
with this ?

I hate to state the obvious, but if your quote/contract/correspondence with the customer is written like your question, then I'd imagine this isn't your first or last disagreement.
I always take the time to go through any details I think the client might have an issue with and clearly come up with solutions or concessions. However if I get a bad feeling in any way, I make sure everything is signed off on and my ass is covered... Which conveniently enough usually entices them to use someone else, and I don't complain because (knock on wood) my receivables are always up to date.

Watch it, Nick, commenting on another commenter's writing ability or inability is not allowed here.
But I agree with you - some people treat English like a subject to avoid, when in reality, clear, concise communication is crucial in this business.
I always wonder, when I see writing like that, what their woodwork is like. Disjointed? Dangling participles all over the place? Split infinitives covered with filler?

I think that some allowance for non-native English speakers has to be made, but even so the OP is not doing a good job communicating. If his English is that bad, he should get help from a translator, and then a lawyer. If you are actually being sued, advice from a forum won't solve the problem.

Ron, what else do we need to know? Have you tried to work it out with the client? Does your contract cover this kind of contingency?
Why hasn't the other work gotten done? Did the GC disappear?
