The art of wood veneering dates back to ancient Egypt in the time of the Pharaohs. During the 17th and 18th century a revival of veneering was seen in European traditional furniture. Today, veneers are used in cabinet work and fine furniture.
The object of this resource is to provide a comprehensive compilation of the bulk of the relevant technical and practical information on the manufacture of, and how real timber veneers can be applied to substrates for furniture and cabinetmaking.
